i was lucky enough to see this band live when i visited london in 2009; i went along to the forum and was blown away by how tight they were, plus the awesome songs. here’s the song that even made it onto guitar hero: attack! attack! from wales with “you and me”. enjoy!
i would love to be able to meet dustin kensrue one day and tell him honestly and genuinely, without trying to sound like an over-obsessed fanboy, how uplifting, challenging & inspiring his lyrics and music have been to me. sometimes stirring my heart, sometimes firing my emotions and passion in the pit of my belly, and sometimes bringing me near tears.
i’m sure he hears this a lot from people, and perhaps it’s hard to tell who is being genuine in their kudos at times, but in my case i can assure you that it is 100% true.
thank you dustin, for showing me that beautiful art & music can still inspire people like me musically and spiritually as well. God bless you.
to change things up a bit, i’ve decided to adopt a new approach to this blog: every week day i will hit “random” on my iTunes here when i get to work and post whichever song pops up, no matter how lame or embarassing it may turn out to be.
i’ll then write a little bit about the song or artist or how the song makes me feel - whichever i deem to be the most interesting, really. sound good? i hope it will be.
feel free to comment on the music i post, as long as you have something relevant to say about it. i don’t mind negative comments, as long as you can back it up; no “this band sucks hard” please…it’s just pointless.
so until monday…happy april!
instruments for musicians on a budget? this is more in my price range…
for some truly awesome ambient music, check out the watermark high from here in south africa. beautiful, moody and arty - plus their album “loneliness as an artform” is available as a free download. do yourself a favour, check it out and open your ears.
