i was lucky enough to see this band live when i visited london in 2009; i went along to the forum and was blown away by how tight they were, plus the awesome songs. here’s the song that even made it onto guitar hero: attack! attack! from wales with “you and me”. enjoy!

“you can’t see the forest for the wolves” - funeral for a friendso…i did yesterday’s random start and then got really busy and sort of put off posting it until the second half of the day. that clearly didn’t happen, so i am posting yesterday’s AND today’s random start today. done!
this song is off funeral for a friend’s first self-released album after their split from atlantic records. “memory and humanity” combines the more laid-back alt rock of “tales don’t tell themselves” with the harder edge of the welsh band’s earlier material.starting off mellow and then exploding into a riff-tastic verse and the kind of anthemic chorus that FFAF do so well, “forest…” shows a reinvigorated band making the kind of music they want to make. no pressure or interference from the major labels here!
